Objectives
- To train undergraduate and post graduate medical and paramedical students in microbiology so that they can diagnose, treat and prevent infectious diseases caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites
- To provide 24x7 quality diagnostic services to patients with infectious diseases
- To conduct research on infectious diseases suffered by the local community
- To train the health care workers in safe handling of clinical material and safety precautions to be followed and in reducing Hospital associated infectious by conducting periodic workshops
