Department of Physiology
Overview

The department of Physiology was established in 1986. The department was upgraded as a Postgraduate department offering MD Physiology since 2003. PhD program was initiated in 2013. Faculty are trained in Medical Education Technology and are involved in educational research in addition to biomedical research. Innovation in teaching, learning and evaluation is being practiced to attain course outcomes.

Department has conducted projects in collaboration with NIMH in the topic of mining.

Objectives
  • Encourage and empower the faculty to imbibe a culture of research in basic and applied Physiology and promote interdisciplinary research by encouraging collaboration between the various health profession disciplines
