Department of Tuberculosis & Respiratory Disease

Overview

The Department of Respiratory Medicine was established R.L. Jalappa Hospital and Research Centre in the year 2005. The department has evolved from Tuberculosis unit to a full-fledged Pulmonary Medicine unit. Our staff are specially trained in the diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases including Pneumonia, Asthma, COPD, Tuberculosis, Interstitial lung diseases, Pneumothorax and Pleural effusion and other complicated chest diseases.

Staff and services from National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme are also included in the department.

Respiratory medicine wards are equipped with oxygen, nebulization and Non invasive ventilation support.

A fully equipped Bronchoscopy Suite with provision for Diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopic procedures is available.
