About Us

The Department of Radio-diagnosis was established in 1994 with postgraduate training facilities and has since evolved into a center of excellence in diagnostic imaging and academic radiology. The department currently offers 11 postgraduate (M.D. Radiodiagnosis) seats, BSc course in imaging Technology, and is supported by an adequate number of experienced professors, associate professors, assistant professors, and senior residents, ensuring comprehensive clinical exposure and close academic mentorship.

The department caters to the diagnostic imaging needs of R. L. Jalappa Hospital on a 24×7 basis, providing round-the-clock services for both routine and emergency cases. It is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology which includes CT and MRI, enabling accurate diagnosis across a wide spectrum of medical and surgical specialties. The faculty comprises distinguished radiologists of repute, trained in various subspecialties, committed to delivering high-quality patient care, teaching, and research.

High academic standards are maintained through a structured teaching program, regular academic activities, and a stringent hands-on training schedule, ensuring that postgraduate students develop strong diagnostic skills, procedural competence, and academic excellence.
