EXPERIENCE
- I have clinical and teaching experience 26 years.
- I am able to handle independently all types of HIGH RISK Obstetrics and Gynaec patients including performing of internal iliac artery ligation to prevent maternal mortality and morbidity.
- I have been recognized as PG teacher from past 17years(since 2006)
- My area of interest is HIGH RISK pregnancy.
- I have also been recognized as Ph.D Guide.
PRACTICAL SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
OBSTETRICS:
Conducting antenatal outpatient clinics. Managing high risk pregnancies like pre eclampsia, eclampsia, gestational diabetes, APH, PPH (both medical and surgical management) and also cases of abortions.
Managed high risk cases during labour like breech deliveries, shoulder dystocia.
Have conducted instrumental deliveries and have trained several junior doctors for the same.
From surgical perspective, I have performed both elective and emergency caesarean section for several indications like previous LSCS, twins, fetal distress, second stage caesarean, placenta previa, adherent placenta. Have conducted peripartum caesarean section and managed cases of uterine rupture. I have also performed internal artery ligation to prevent maternal morbidity and mortality
GYNECOLOGY:
Managing both outpatient and inpatient gynec patients. Have performed minor procedures like D and C(diagnostic and therapeutic), colposcopy and major procedures like myomectomy, abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, exploratory laparotomy for ovarian tumor.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
Teaching is my passion and am actively involved in all departmental and interdepartmental teaching programmes regularly. I coordinate and guide post graduate students from the past 26years and guide them in their preparation for seminar, case presentation and journal club. I do take undergraduate theory classes, bedside clinics and tutorials.
